It Came from Hollywood—An Evening of Memorable Film Music
Saturday, Feb. 22, 7:30 p.m., United Presbyterian-Congregational Church, Ashland
Enjoy an enchanting evening listening to outstanding film and television scores! The concert will include familiar musical compositions from John Williams and George Gershwin, and themes from “The Muppet Movie,” “Porgie and Bess,” “The Terminator,” and “Harry Potter”. And. there will be some surprising pieces as well. With an eclectic selection, this concert offers something for every age group.
The ensemble of area musicians includes:
Joel Glickman – clarinet, banjo
Katherine Swanson – oboe
Jared Schrang – trumpet
Solveig Hadland – bassoon
Joni Chapman – piano, keyboard
Tickets are $15 for adults. ALL students attend for free!

One Pulse! Music that Expresses Community
Sunday, March 9, 4:00 p.m., Alvord Theater, Northland College, Ashland
This is a FREE concert, brought to us by the Morris Music Collective from the University of Minnesota-Morris. Students and faculty present music that amplifies shared experiences, mixing styles and genres, from diverse composers: Shostakovich, Gershwin, Jennifer Lucy Cook, and Nathan Froebe. Join us for a fantastic Sunday afternoon of musical community!
